What have the DMC offices been doing for fun this year?
Here at DMC, we were so excited when it was safe to start getting together again in groups. One of the staples of DMC's culture is our monthly budget designated for doing something fun together. We call this an Activity Fund. Anyone in the company can pitch an idea to the office and if there is enough interest, we get together to have a ton of fun out of the office.
Events range from activities like going back in time to the Roaring 20's, giving gifts with Operation Santa, working out at SoulCyle, or climbing the walls at a local gym. While working remotely, we even started a OneDMC Activity fund full of virtual events like whiskey tasting, pumpkin carving, and making pizzas together. Let's take a minute to zoom in on a what our Dallas has been up to Summer and Fall 2021.
Katy Trail
Our Dallas office is located right on the Katy Trail downtown. This running path is a great place to take a jog, bike ride, or a short stroll from our Dallas office to one of our favorite happy hour spots, Ice House.
Cidercade
While DMC Dallas is one of our smaller offices, there is no shortage of fun events when it comes to this team. Their social schedule was packed with awesome events over the last few months. The team started their summer with a visit to the Cidercade where they got their fill of Ms. Pacman, pinball, and shooting some hoops with NBA Jams.
Whirlyball, Top Golf, and Axe Throwing
Then the Dallas team visited the latest group activity crazes: Axe throwing, Top Golf, and Whirlyball. Now, you may be asking, what is Whirlyball? Well, imagine playing basketball, but with a lacrosse stick and wiffleball. And you're in bumper cars. That's Whirlyball. It's a DMC favorite.
Endless Sushi and a Broadway Show
Are you looking for a great dining experience or a theatrical event? DMC Dallas was up for both. Filling up with dinner of endless sushi? Done. What about finally getting to wear the sports jacket you bought before the pandemic? DMC Dallas got fancy to go see the Broadway musical “Wicked” while it was in town at Fair Park.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
If exploring the Perot Museum of Nature and Science while tasting local brews is more your style, DMC Dallas also did that.
It's one of our Core Values that we "Have Fun" at DMC. DMC Dallas definitely lived this core value with their summer and fall of activity fund events. I can't wait to see what other exciting events they have in store for the future.
